Cerro Alto is a state park located between Morro Bay and Atascadero on HWY 41.  There are some excellent trails here going to the top of Cerro Alto which has an elevation of 2,620 feet.  The climb to the top is strenuous as it ascends 1,600 feet in about 2.5 miles.  The 360° view from the top is one of the best in the area as is the descent back down to the Cerro Alto campground.
