The Indians is between two of the highest peaks in the Santa Lucias: Cone Peak at 5,155 and Junipero Sierra at 5,862 feet.  This area is accessed via Milpitas Road. The southern end of Indians Road can be accessed here which provides entry into the Arroyo Seco watershed.  The Indians has extensive wind and water carved sandstone rock formations which are Tertiary sedimentary rocks deposited in shallow seas from 64 to 2 million years ago.  This area gets very hot during the summer so it's best to go during other times of the year.
